Jason “Mayhem” Miller will be making his UFC return on Sat. December 3rd against the much despised, Michael Bisping.

Bisping is the betting favorite and is considered the higher ranked fighter given his body of work.

He’s coming off three-straight wins with his last loss coming by way of decision in which fans could make a case that it should’ve gone to the Brit’s way.

“Mayhem,” meanwhile, has won two in a row, but his wins were against some questionable competition and occurred over a year ago.

The last time we saw Miller against an elite-level fighter was his bout against Jake Shields and although he lost the decision, he won over a lot of fans with his toughness and even managed to nearly submit Shields.

Although Bisping should be and is the odds-makers favorite, he certainly isn’t the fan favorite.

In this weigh-in video provided by MMAfighting.com, Bisping expresses his content for the fans by simply saying he “doesn’t give a **** about getting love.”

As loud as the boos for Bisping were, the cheers may have been even louder for “Mayhem” when he made his way out.

“Mayhem” has always been in the MMA spotlight even though he hasn’t always been a top-level fighter. He has a very outgoing personality and is always willing to crack a joke to lighten the mood.

Regardless if he has any fan backing, Bisping is still as confident as ever for his bout and about the final outcome, predicting he will “put Mayhem in a hospital.”

Given Bisping’s little “pitter-pat” punching style, I really don’t believe “Mayhem” will be needing to check out of a hospital after their bout for anything other than the routine checkup.

“Mayhem” has always had fans behind him and more so in this fight given his opponent. Now is the time to not only ascend to the top of the 185-pound division, but squash everyone’s hated villain.

TUF 14 Finale: Does Jason Miller Have the Most To Gain?

Jason “Mayhem” Miller is one of the most recognizable fighters in MMA today.

Despite having only one UFC fight in his career, Miller has stayed relevant in the public through his memorable fight entrances, nearly getting beat down by Nick and Nate Diaz, and by being the host of Bully Beatdown.

Miller got even more recognition when he coached against Michael Bisping on Season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter

Miller was able to hold his own against the TUF vet; at times Miller even came out looking like the better coach.

If Miller can get a win against Bisping, he will not only prove he was the better coach on the show, but he could be pushed as one of the UFC’s top middleweight contenders.

One of the main reasons Miller could get this push is because he fights in a division that appears weak.

Thanks to top contenders either losing to Anderson Silva or not having a good enough record to even fight Silva, Miller’s chances of getting a title shot in the future are pretty good.

Defeating Bisping would be a good start for Miller.

Although he still would need another win or two against some of the division’s top fighters, beating Bisping would give Miller a much-needed win over one of the best fighters in the world.

A win over Bisping would also make Miller one of the most popular fighters in the world.

At this point Bisping is one of the most hated fighters in the world. Shutting him up would make a lot of MMA fans happy.

Although the winners of the show should have the most to gain, even fighters who did not make it to the finals of their fights can walk out of the finale with a UFC contract.

Miller has the chance to prove not only that he belongs in the UFC, but also that he can be a huge force both inside and outside the Octagon.

Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller, TUF 14 Finale: Who Has the Most To Lose?

We are hours away from seeing another great season of The Ultimate Fighter close out.

While this season had many memorable fights, many fans are anticipating the matchup between Michael Bisping and Jason “Mayhem” Miller

Miller and Bisping have talked a lot of trash about each other from the moment it was announced that they would face each other.

Bisping has been in this position once before.

While coaching opposite of Dan Henderson during season nine of TUF, Bisping antagonized both Henderson and fighters on the opposing team.

When Bisping and Henderson met at UFC 100, Bisping found himself on the opposing end of Henderson’s signature right hand.

Bisping has been 4-1 since the Henderson fight, and is currently on a three-fight win streak. If Bisping defeats Miller, it could put him in a good position to make a serious title run. He is one of the few well-known middleweights that has not challenged Anderson Silva for his UFC title.

If Bisping loses, though, he can kiss his title hopes goodbye.

Although he has only lost to former champions, losing to Miller would prove that Bisping can’t win against big-name fighters.

Bisping is one of the UFC’s most marketable fighters thanks to his international appeal. He is also one of the company’s most hated fighters because of his antics both in and out of the Octagon.

Many fighters in MMA talk trash. But Bisping has gone beyond that, being disrespectful to fans and fighters alike.

It’s easy for Bisping to talk trash. But if he really wants to shut up his doubters, he will have to get wins over big-name opponents.

If he loses against Miller, it will show that he may never be a top contender.

TUF 14 Finale: Why Chael Sonnen Would Defeat Both Bisping and Miller

At UFC 136, the UFC welcomed back Chael Sonnen, who had been suspended for a year and had his share of legal issues. With all of that behind him, he defeated Brian Stann in the second round by arm triangle choke, afterward calling out the champion Anderson Silva

It was then assumed that Sonnen was the No. 1 contender, and after a weird phase of Anderson’s representatives saying Sonnen didn’t deserve the fight, the UFC announced that Chael was indeed the No. 1 contender. Soon after, Silva ended up injured and out until June.

When that was announced, Sonnen had already said multiple times that he wanted to stay active, and that if someone could beat him, then they deserved the title shot. The UFC soon announced that Sonnen would be facing Mark Munoz at UFC on FOX 2, after Munoz did an interview discussing how they had wrestled each other in the past. At the World MMA Awards, Sonnen stated in an interview that he was not facing Munoz, and without actually saying it, he implied that he would be facing the winner of Michael Bisping vs. Jason Miller in The Ultimate Fighter finale.

Years ago, Sonnen defeated Miller by decision, but neither man is truly the same fighter that they were in that fight, and Sonnen has been wanting a fight with Bisping for a while now.

If Michael Bisping were to win and go on to face Chael Sonnen, this match up would be very bad for him. Bisping does have wrestling, and has decent stand-up, more technique than power. The problem is that Chael has some of the best wrestling in MMA, and his striking is very underrated, and always plays a big role in him setting up his take downs.

Bisping is good at picking his opponents apart, but when the pressure is put on him, it appears that he becomes overwhelmed, ex. vs. Dan Henderson, and vs. Wanderlei Silva. Chael always puts the pressure on and never backs off. This would be a fight where Chael would utilize his striking, and do what he does best and utilize his wrestling and ground and pound handing Bisping a loss.

Many people try to discredit the striking of Sonnen, when in fact he got the best of Silva on the feet when they fought, and before he went to college years ago, he wanted to give up wrestling to focus only on boxing. Him sticking to wrestling was a very wise choice.

If Sonnen were to rematch Miller, this would be the tougher of the two fights. Miller is an excellent grappler, and also has much improved stand up. The problem that Miller has had over the years is that he has always struggled against grapplers that were just a little bit better than him. Sonnen’s wrestling, and his dominate top control would be the difference maker in this fight. Miller would have to land a sub off of his back if he is going to win this fight. Sonnen has had his trouble’s with elite grapplers in his past. People hate on Sonnen for his submission defense, but if you go and see who exactly the losses were too, then odds are the hate would go down just a little bit on that topic.

It would be totally unfair to say that Chael would 100 percent defeat both men, because this is MMA and anything can happen, but when it comes down to it, the Sonnen vs Silva rematch is a must and Chael will do whatever it takes to get that fight.

When Sonnen’s father was on his death bed, he promised him that he would be champion, and defeating one of these two men will put him one step closer to his promise.

In arguably the most important fight of his mixed martial arts career, Michael Bisping will step foot inside the Octagon to take on his rival in Jason “Mayhem” Miller.

It’s been made known that Miller is the clear fan favorite as Bisping has fallen from popularity.

However, none of that will matter when action begins in just a few short hours as Bisping is believed to be the favorite on paper.

In order for Bisping to prove he is, in fact, the better mixed martial artist, there are several things he’ll have to accomplish throughout the fight.

As soon as the opening bell rings, Bisping is likely to attack Miller as he’s been away from the sport for over a full year.

Bisping needs to test Miller’s quickness as well as his defense as he hasn’t been physically tested since his bout with Jake Shields in 2009.

While Bisping can certainly defend himself on the ground as he’s established himself as a well-rounded fighter, he’ll want to keep the fight in the stand-up position.

Bisping is the clear favorite in striking as he’s knocked out an impressive 13 fighters over the course of his career.

However, Miller has shown in the past that he can exchange strikes fairly well as he’s been knocked out just once in 31 career fights.

If Bisping fails to finish Miller early in Round 1, it’s likely he’ll attempt to wear down his opponent as Miller has shown signs of gassing out in the past.

Miller’s lost five of nine fights when his bouts goes to the judge’s scorecards while Bisping has come up short in a decision just twice.

If Bisping can effectively establish his striking game and avoid being taken to the ground, he should have no problem inching closer to his much desired middleweight title shot.

TUF 14 Finale: What Mayhem Miller Must Do To Defeat Michael Bisping

After being out for over a year, Jason “Mayhem” Miller will make his return to the sport, and Octagon, to take on Michael Bisping at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale.

In just a few short hours, Miller will touch gloves with the opposing coach on TUF, and a man he greatly despises.

However, a despising of Bisping won’t get the job done when the action begins at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, as it will be one of his toughest opponents to date.

There are several things Miller will have to do for the victory.

It’s likely it will be Bisping who pressures Miller at the opening bell.

In order to remain in the fight, “Mayhem” will have to calm the early storm and prove cage rust is not an issue.

If Miller can survive an early attack, he’ll begin to settle down and get in rhythm.

Miller, however, won’t want to stand with Bisping, as Bisping holds a great advantage in the striking department.

Fans can expect Miller’s attack to consist of attempted takedowns early and often.

But, unfortunately for Miller, Bisping doesn’t go down easy as he has one of the better takedown defenses and is also one of the better grapplers in the middleweight division.

It will be a true test to see if Miller can put Bisping on his back.

If he can, he’ll more than likely pressure with a variety of submission attempts, as he has established himself as a dangerous tapout artist over the course of his career.

If Miller can avoid exchanging strikes and stick to his game plan, he should have no problem leaving Las Vegas victorious.
