Ty Pinney who are a part of the
MMA Fix video family have both been hospitalized in eerily similar accidents within 2 days of each other. Ty Pinney was in a bike accident at Lavin’s home on Wednesday night. Lavin crashed his bike during dirt qualifying for the
Dew Tour Championships last night. Lavin wore a
The Horror Project (a clothing company owned by Pinney) t-shirt in honor of Pinney while he competed.
The two men who are good friends are currently in ICU at the same hospital in Las Vegas. Lavin has suffered brain swelling, a shattered wrist, rib injuries and is in a medically induced coma. Pinney’s condition is not believed to be medically induced.
We here at MMA Fix wish both men a speedy and full recovery. You can find Lavin’s commentation on Fix
here during his guest appearance picking his fight winners for
UFC 79 as Lavin is an MMA fan.
