Gina Carano has booked her second feature role after her exodus from Disney.

The pioneer in women’s mixed martial arts moved into acting following the conclusion of her fighting career. After having some success in films such as Haywire and Deadpool, Carano broke into the mainstream with her role as Cara Dune in Disney’s The Mandalorian. However, following a series of controversial social media posts from Carano, Disney decided to cut ties with the fighter-turned-actress.

Shortly after her ousting, Carano inked a deal with conservative news website The Daily Wire to star in White Knuckle. The film is based off of the novel of the same name written by Eric Red, who also penned the script for the 1986 cult classic The Hitcher. While that movie is still expected to take place, filming has been delayed until 2022.

In the meantime, Carano will shift her efforts towards another collaboration with The Daily Wire. Terror on the Prairie is said to be about a family fighting back against a group of outlaws who terrorize them on their newly built farm in the great plains of Montana. Filming is set to take place in Montana, with Dallas Sonnier (Bone Tomahawk) producing and Michael Polish (Northfolk, The Astronaut Farmer) directing.

UFC veteran Donald Cerrone is also expected to have a starring role in the film. ‘Cowboy’ has been slowly venturing into acting, appearing in the Netflix projects Godless and Spencer Confidential, and most recently appearing in a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in Cop Shop.

Terror on the Prairie will also feature Nick Searcy, Heath Freeman and Samairie Armstrong.

The Daily Wire first moved into the entertainment industry with their acquisition of the controversial film, Run Hide Fight. They would sign Carano to an overall deal shortly there after.

Terror on the Prairie will be released exclusively to members of The Daily Wire website sometime in spring 2022.

Alistair Overeem’s return to Glory has been postponed until 2022.

Overeem was set to face Rico Verhoeven at “GLORY: Collision 3” on October 23 before an injury forced him to announce his withdrawal from the fight earlier today.

“To the fans.. I deeply regret that I have to pull out of the fight against Rico Verhoeven Oct 23th.I’ve never pulled out a fight before and trust me, this decision was hard to make. I’ve been dealing with the injury for over a month. Two days before the press conference, a couple of weeks ago, I wasn’t even able to walk straight. After some treatment I felt much better. And since I’ve never been a quitter, I wasn’t going to quit now. I went back in camp. But… the injury got worse again and I could not even fulfill a complete training session. Yesterday my coaches, my medical team and myself had to make the decision to pull out. Oct 23 I was suppose to give the fans a show! I wanted to make sure that everybody in the arena and the ones at home watching, got what they came for; an entertaining high level fight. Even if I was at 90% now, or 80% maybe even, I would have gotten into that ring. But I’m at 40% and that’s not enough. Fighters get out there. We train hard, work hard. There’s a lot at stake. Our sport can get you injured. Not only in the ring, but unfortunately also in preparation. I hope to get some understanding from you guys. Will be back soon! Alistair @glorykickboxing.”

Overeem hasn’t competed in kickboxing since scoring a TKO win over Peter Aerts in the 2010 K-1 Grand Prix Final. The 41-year-old was recently released by the UFC, triggering his return to the sport that helped build him into the combat sports superstar he is today.

UFC president Dana White had a very familiar face in mind for Kurt Angle’s potential mixed martial arts debut.

Although now retired from professional wrestling, Angle has gone on record multiple times stating how close he was to having a career in MMA.

Given his amateur wrestling pedigree — not to mention a gold medal in wrestling at the 1996 Olympics — Angle would have done extremely well in the young sport during his prime.

In the end, it wasn’t to be. However, once he departed the WWE in 2006 before eventually ending up at TNA, Angle had talks with White over competing in the UFC.

And the idea in mind was for him to face Daniel Puder.

“He [White] wasn’t very specific on saying we’re going to protect you, but the opponent that he gave me at the beginning was a good opponent,” Angle said on his podcast (via WhatCulture). “Very intriguing from a public interest standpoint, especially from a pro wrestling fan standpoint. Very intriguing because he didn’t have a lot of experience in MMA, he only fought a couple times, but I had a little episode with him in the WWE. That was Daniel Puder.

“When Dana said that to me, I said, ‘Are you serious? Daniel Puder, that’s all?’ Not that I thought Daniel Puder was easy, because he actually had my arm trapped and he would have broken my arm when we did our little episode on SmackDown. I just knew that I could beat Daniel Puder.”

Puder notably put Angle in a kimura lock and almost broke his arm during a live episode of SmackDown which went against what was in the script. It led to tension between the pair and plenty of heat on Puder who was never able to kickstart his pro wrestling career since.

It certainly would have been an intriguing fight and one Angle would have loved to have had.

Daniel Cormier has been cast in the television series ‘Warriors’.

The show will be a sequel to the acclaimed 2011 film ‘Warrior’ that starred Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers with a difficult past, destined to meet in the finale of an MMA tournament.

Warrior writer and director Gavin O’Connor revealed that the series will move away from the Conlon brothers and instead focus on a new batch of characters who compete in MMA.

“So here’s the show; it’s four characters, two men, two women, they’re all fighters, and they’re going to get into Sparta [the competition from Warrior] and will eventually be facing each other and fighting, and I’m going to get an audience supporting the two girls and two guys,” O’Connor told Discussing Film. “So it’s got the DNA of the movie, but the most important part of the show is that it’s not about the fight in the cage. This show is a drama about the fight outside of the cage.”

“What are they fighting for? Fighting your way out of poverty, to save for your family – I want to deal with things that are going on in the world because I have a character that’s in Dublin, Ireland, in Mountjoy prison. There’s a Muslim girl who’s a fighter, who’s living in her Muslim conservative community outside of Paris. She’s a lesbian and a fighter, and in her community neither one of those are permitted. So you have a woman who’s in two closets almost, she’s got to find a way out of two closets. That’s kind of the idea.”

So far, Cormier is the only person to be cast in the TV series.

“The one person I’ve cast so far is DC (Daniel Cormier),” O’Connor said. “He’s playing a guy named Bob. He’s playing Bobby Watkins, who lives in Houston and is fighting his way out of poverty for his family.”

Dan Lambert was joined by Junior dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski and Jorge Masvidal as ATT made an appearance at AEW All Out over the weekend.

Lambert is the owner and founder of American Top Team, and also happens to be a huge professional wrestling fan. He has made a number of appearances at All Elite Wrestling events since it’s formation, showing some impressive skills on the mic. His latest appearance took place this Sunday, at the company’s biggest pay-per-view event of the year.

Accompanied by his fighters and AEW stars Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky, Lambert cut a promo hyping up the mixed martial artists and wrestlers, perhaps teasing a nearby collaboration.

While none of the ATT standouts Lambert has brought with him to AEW events have actually competed in the ring, it’s certainly helped them gain exposure and could potentially set them up for a new career once their MMA days are over. Arlovski and dos Santos both drew cheers, while Masvidal garnered the biggest reaction.

While all three men are still active in their MMA careers, they appeared to enjoy taking part in the event and could possibly make the transition later on. Appearing alongside Lambert certainly seemed to put their foot in the door.

All Out was a massive success for the fast-rising wrestling promotion. On top of a series of highly anticipated wrestling matches, it also saw the debut of a number of high-profile signings, including former WWE stars Ruby Soho (fka Ruby Riot), Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan), and Adam Cole.

AEW has continuously grown out their roster, and appear more than happy to take on some newcomers who can come in with same name value already behind them.

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov knew about Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to return to Manchester United well before the rest of the world did.

According to utdreport, Nurmagomedov said “A month ago he [Cristiano Ronaldo] told me that he was moving to MUFC. I expected this deal to take place. I think that Manchester United is more suitable for him than Juventus. For me, the transition was not a surprise.”

Ronaldo spent six years with Manchester United from 2003-2009 where he won many trophies and awards while dominating the English Premier League. Now 13 years later Ronaldo is back and ready to dominate the league once again for Manchester United.

The greatest Lightweight fighter of all time Nurmagomedov was rumored to have signed with a football team recently. Rumor had it that Nurmagomedov was signing with FC Legion Dynamo, a football club out of Russia. The team is based out of Dagestan which is the hometown of the legendary Nurmagomedov and many other fighters. Those rumors were shot down and called “fake news” by ‘The Eagle’s’ manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Nurmagomedov has been speaking about many things recently including, the “uselessness of ring girls” and how Jose Aldo can’t have another peak in his career. Nurmagomedov has been nicknamed the ‘Karen’ of the MMA world (by up and coming star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett) with how he has been speaking recently. Although he is not fighting anymore, ‘The Eagle’ is still making headlines and fight fans are eating it up. The more Nurmagomedov talks the more headlines and things we collectively have to talk about. Nurmagomedov has also made the MMA rounds as a coach this year and is a perfect 4-0 as a coach this season.
