Former UFC welterweight title challenger Darren Till has been getting vocal about the division he was once a part of, and that continued this week with some opinions on the top middleweight fighters.

Till hasn’t competed in mixed martial arts since a defeat to then-future champion Dricus Du Plessis in late 2022. The start of the subsequent year saw “The Gorilla” granted his release from the UFC, and he’s since had just one boxing outing.

All the while, the Liverpool native has vowed to return to the Octagon down the line and hasn’t shied away from giving his assessments of various fighters and matchups, especially at his most recent fighting weight in the UFC of 185 pounds.

That was on display this month when Till posted numerous tweets about the UFC 305 main event between Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya, offering advice to the latter while constantly berating his former opponent.

That trend has remained this week, but it wasn’t just the South African taking fire…

Till Berates Some, Praises Others: ‘DDP I Hate Your Guts…Sean I Like’

In a recent X post, Till gave his honest take on a number of notable names in the middleweight division, expressing somewhat positive thoughts on Marvin Vettori, Sean Strickland, and Robert Whittaker.

All three still caught some flak, but it was Du Plessis and Adesanya who took the brunt of it.

“Marvin I really like but ur sh*t. DDP I hate ur guts and ur sh*t. Izzy!!!! Ur gay and ur sh*t. Sean I like and ur ok cos u beat me up in the gym once I boxed ur head off. Whittaker I f**king love u but I beat you, you chose the sh*thouse way and took me down 10 seconds in the last round… ur sh*t.”

Till also didn’t miss an opportunity to quip at himself.

“Have I missed anyone out? Oh sh*t yeh… myself, I’m f**king so shit I really am.”

And newly crowned UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad also briefly entered the Scouser’s crosshairs.

“Also Belal Muhammad isn’t a real fighter strip him of his title he cheated against Leon!!!!!”

Darren Till thinks Conor McGregor

English-born UFC middleweight Darren Till believes we may soon be seeing the end of Conor McGregor.

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor was a two-division world champion in the UFC having won the featherweight and lightweight titles in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Since 2020 though, the Irish-born athlete has gone 1-2 in the octagon. However, he has founded an incredibly successful whiskey business.

Darren Till talks Conor McGregor

Darren Till recently discussed the Irish athlete. While speaking in an interview with Basketballinsiders, the 30-year-old athlete explained:

“I think Conor has been there and done it, made his money and now he’s happy. I’m sure he probably wants to come back but deep down he knows life’s different now. I think it’s probably the end for Conor but he’s still the biggest name in the sport.”

Conor McGregor was able to make the most amount of money in his career in a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a blockbuster event. YouTuber Jake Paul has capitalized on the market and has become a hot-selling boxer who now works with the PFL. Till discussed Jake Paul and said:

“I think he’s training really hard and putting 100% into it now. Again we have to respect it but let’s wait and see when he gets some tougher fights against more accomplished opponents. He’s kept proving the doubters wrong so yeah, keep making the money and doing what you’re doing.”

On the PFL, Till said:

“They’re getting to sign some big names right now even from the UFC. So that could happen yeah. I could go and make some money there.”

Darren Till On Israel Adesanya Being In The Top 10 MMA GOAT List: MMA Fans Are Quick To Go ‘You’re S**t!’

Israel Adesanya has got a huge task waiting for him on August 17 in Perth, Australia. Israel Adesanya has got a huge task waiting for him on August 17 in Perth, Australia.

After losing his UFC middleweight title in a shock upset against Sean Strickland at UFC 293, he made the decision to take some long overdue time away.

In fact, his one-year break is the longest he has taken since signing to the UFC, where he has been one of the most active major names on the roster.

Coming back to face Dricus Du Plessis is a tall order but in doing so, he can make history by becoming a three-time champion at 185 pounds.

It was already incredibly impressive when he got revenge over Alex Pereira in their rematch to win back the title for the second time but to do it again, could put him into all-time great conversations.

Darren Till Agrees That UFC 305 Is Huge For Israel Adesanya’s Legacy

During a recent interview with Title Sports Network, former UFC middleweight contender Darren Till gave his thoughts on what a win at UFC 305 could do for Adesanya’s legacy.

Having already looked to pass on some advice to “The Last Stylebender” based on what he learned in his fight with Du Plessis two years ago, the scouse fighter has always been open about being a fan of Adesanya.

He agreed with the sentiment that reclaiming the middleweight throne will at least put Adesanya into ‘top 10’ conversations regarding legacy.

Till did also add that this in itself is a problem with the MMA fanbase, where opinions can change drastically from fight to fight due to recency bias.

“Yeah, I think if Adesanya beats Du Plessis, he’s in that conversation [of top 10 GOATs in MMA] cuz he’s beat everyone. So yeah, I think people, this is the problem again we were talking about the MMA fans, they’re so quick to just go, ‘Oh you’re s***!’ It’s just quite annoying like Adesanya is a f****** phenom and I’m one of them guys that talk a lot of s*** but when it comes down to reality, you have to give like respect to some of these, yeah the props, 100%.”

Former UFC middleweight contender Darren Till and Israel Adesanya have had an interesting relationship with one another during their careers.

When Till made the decision to move up to middleweight, he was immediately on the radar of the champion at the time.

As a former title challenger at 170-pounds, his win over Kelvin Gastelum immediately put him in the mix and with both Till and Adesanya being specialist strikers, the match-up sold itself.

The fight never did materialize after “The Gorilla” suffered three consecutive losses before parting ways with the promotion.

His final outing inside the Octagon came at UFC 282 where he faced the man that would go on to become champion and defend the title against Adesanya this weekend at UFC 305.

Darren Till Gives Breakdown & Advice For Israel Adesanya On How To Beat Dricus Du Plessis

In a post on X, Till gave Adesanya some advice based on what he learned in his fight with Dricus Du Plessis in December of 2022.

The scouse fighter was submitted in the third and despite taking a beating in the opening round, he was able to have some success in the striking ranges against “Stillknocks” in the second.

His accurate combinations were much too fast for Du Plessis at the time and this is where he believes that Adesanya may be able to capitalize.

Till passed some knowledge on to “The Last Stylebender” about drawing reactions from the champion as well as standing his ground instead of fighting off of the back foot.

“Got some advice for Izzy on how to fight DDP on Saturday. Lots of feints… he reacts to them so much and throws from the hills. Then you can step back. Have a look and either for for the punch combo or knee maybe a kick. Ur a high level striker so u know what am on about. Everyone on here won’t have a clue but they will try to understand it. Only the elite strikers get it.

“As he rushes in also do what you did against rob and I did the same. Urs knocked rob out as where as mine didn’t but still same same. DDP will rush in. Instead of standing back or going back like most of these silly stupid strikers do. Stand ur ground and just hit him with either again the punch combo or even a knee up the middle. I personally love the elbow as they are lunging in but it’s whatever suits at that time and whatever you have practiced. Hope this advice goes well with you IZZY.”

UFC middleweight contender, Darren Till appears to have once more voiced his support for controversial social media commenter, Andrew Tate amid the American-born’s latest arrest in Romania, as part of an investigation into alleged human trafficking, and rape

Till, the current #15 ranked middleweight contender under the banner of the UFC, most recently suffered his third straight loss, in the form of a third round rear-naked choke submission loss against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 last month.

Tate, a native of America who spent his childhood in Luton, England – was arrested last week in Romania, as part of an investigation into an alleged human trafficking ring, rape, and the forming of an organized crime group.

A former kickboxing champion, Tate had received mass attention across social media over the last 18 months, due to his controversial views of women, social commentary, and grandiose lifestyle. Tate was also pictured alongside the likes of UFC bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, and undisputed welterweight champion, Leon Edwards.

Tate is under investigation currently by the DIICOT following his arrest and detention at a Bucharest police station.

Earlier this summer, Darren Till, a native of Liverpool, voiced his clear support for Tate amid controversy surrounding his views, tweeting, “Andrew Tate is the best thing to happen to the internet in recent years.” back in August of last year.

Across his social media this week in the wake of Tate’s arrest, Darren Till retweeted a post stating, “I stand with Andrew Tate” – accompanied by the hashtag, “#FreeTopG” – a moniker given to Tate across social media.

Darren Till is without a UFC victory in three years

In the midst of a three-fight losing run, Till, who has yet to land a professional victory since 2019, dropped back-to-back losses to former champion, Robert Whittaker, and Derek Brunson, before his December one-sided submission loss to du Plessis.
