UFC middleweight Paulo Costa gave fans some insight into just how he’s training to fight the UFC middleweight champion.

It appears Paulo Costa has his upcoming fight all figured out.

The No. 2 ranked middleweight contender is set to take on current champion, Israel Adesanya, in the main event of UFC 253. As he prepares for his first championship opportunity in the UFC, Costa has given fans a glimpse of what he has been working on in training camp in the most comedic way.

Costa recently uploaded a video to his YouTube channel titled “Run for your Life,” where Costa staged a mock fight between he and an Adesanya impersonator better known as Muay Thai champion Vanderlei “Toquinho” Gonçalves.

The content of the video is exactly what the title suggests with Costa running after his opponent before getting his hands on him and finishing the fight with a head kick followed by ground and pound.

You can watch the entire video below.

Costa has earned himself a shot at the champion after his most recent performance against former title challenger Yoel Romero at UFC 241. Since his arrival in the UFC, ‘Borrachinha’ has remained perfect, amassing a record of 5-0 in the promotion and 13-0 overall.

Adesanya has also remained perfect in the UFC, winning five straight before earning an interim middleweight title against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 236 and later unifying it against then-champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. He made his first successful title defense against the aforementioned Romero at UFC 248.

UFC 253 is set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. Alongside the headliner between Adesanya and Costa will be the co-main event between Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz for the newly vacated light heavyweight championship.
