Miesha Tate was in a much better mood hours after she successfully weighed in for Saturday night and UFC 200.
After a seemingly rough weight cut that left her stepping on the scale just as time was winding down for the early weigh-ins, Tate stepped back onto that same scale in front of everyone Friday evening and let it be known she is ready.
“I’m so excited,” Tate said. “I’m going to go out there (Saturday) and I’m going to ripe her heart out.
“I’m going to stomp on it and I will be the reigning champion.”
Tate and Nunes moved from a middle-of-the-pack fight on the main card to the headline event after a series of changes. The champion thanked everyone for “being here” to enjoy the moment.
UFC 200 takes place Saturday night from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
