UFC London went down yesterday (Sat., March 22, 2025) inside 02 Arena in London, England which featured a Welterweight showdown that saw Sean Brady have his way with former champion, Leon Edwards, before submitting him in the fourth frame (see it again here). In the co-main event, Carlos Ulberg edged out Jan Blachowicz in a Light Heavyweight affair to win via unanimous decision (recap here).

Biggest Winner: Sean Brady

Brady secured the biggest win of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career by taking out a former champion in Edwards, and he made it look easy, in the process. With the win, Brady will move into the Top 3 come next week. He is now 8-1 inside the Octagon with his lone loss coming at the hands of current champion, Belal Muhammad. While Brady may not get a title shot next seeing as how Shavkat Rakhmonov is still lurking around, a title eliminator fight could be around the corner.

Runner Up: Kevin Holland

Holland was on thin ice coming into the fight because “Trailblazer” had lost two in a row, including four of his last five. While he likely wouldn’t have gotten cut with a third straight defeat, his time on the main card likely would have come to an end. That said, Holland earned a new lease on his combat life after he absolutely dominated Gunnar Nelson for 15 minutes in his return to the Welterweight division. He also earned his ninth $50,000 post-fight bonus award. It was a big win for the mouthy contender, who will likely try to use this as a catalyst to get some type of momentum going.

Biggest Loser: Lean Edwards and Jan Blachowicz

Both Edwards and Blachowicz had a lot on the line in their fights against Brady and Ulberg, respectively. For Edwards, losing to Brady is a tough blow and puts a huge damper on his aspirations of fighting for the title again. That’s because the loss is “Rocky’s” second in a row. What’s even more alarming is that in his loss to Belal Muhammad and Brady he was outworked and outclassed handily. That’s a drastic fall from a man who was unbeaten in his last thirteen fights and nine years prior to going on his skid. Blachowicz, meanwhile, was already looking forward to a rematch against newly-minted champion, Magomed Ankalaev, calling him out shortly after he won the crown. That said, he may have looked ahead a bit too much because he fell short against Ulberg, who will now jump into the Top 5 thanks to locking down his eighth straight win. Both Edwards and Blachowicz now have steeper hills to climb after losing their second straight.
