Jiri Prochazka is coming off a spectacular knockout win over Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 earlier this month in Los Angeles, Calif., but the former UFC light heavyweight champion may have done even more preparation than what was needed for the fight.

Prochazka is as unpredictable as they come inside of the cage, but the Czech contender keeps himself on a strict regiment outside it. That is why Prochazka is always in great shape and never gets himself in trouble on the scales for weigh ins. In fact, Prochazka was drastically under weight for his recent fight with “Sweet Dreams” and was forced to bulk back up.

During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Prochazka revealed that he accidentally stayed in the sauna for two hours before UFC 311’s official weigh ins and ended up getting down to 200 pounds. Considering Prochazka’s fight with Hill was contested at 205 pounds “BJP” needed to gain weight back. He felt embarrassed by the mistake, but simply drank water to get back on target.

Prochazka eventually weighed in at 204.5 pounds for UFC 311’s early weigh ins and only managed to get back to 208 pounds for fight night. Hill, on the other hand, tipped the scales at 205.5 pounds before stepping in the cage at UFC 311 at 221.8 pounds. It was a pretty significant gap to bridge for Prochazka, but he eventually pulled through with the TKO win.

Check out Prochazka’s explanation of his sauna incident below:

“I thought I would do my best when I went to the sauna the night before the weigh in. I switched myself in the sauna and was there for likes two hours,” said Prochazka as Rogan laughed at loud.

“I tried to hide myself before the other guys [weighed in] and drank water.”
