“JDM” killer, killed again.
Top Australian regional mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion Eternal MMA (EMMA) held back-to-back events on Fri. (Nov. 29, 2024) and Sat. (Nov. 30, 2024). In the main event of the second event, Eternal 91, Middleweight Darcy Vendy knocked out John Martin Fraser for the vacant EMMA Middleweight championship from inside Southport Sharks, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
It was a pretty competitive fight for ten minutes, but once it reached the third round, Vendy hurt his opponent and then unloaded a barrage of strikes that eventually put Fraser down and out.

If you didn’t know, Vendy was the last fighter to defeat current top UFC Welterweight contender Jack Della Maddalena. The fight took place in 2016 at Eternal 17, and Vendy submitted Maddalena in the first round, handing him his second consecutive loss (JDM started his career 0-2).

Both fighters went in entirely different directions after that fight. Maddalena has not lost since that fight and has rattled off 17 straight wins. Vendy has surprisingly only fought six times since his victory over JDM and has gone 4-2.
Nevertheless, Vendy (6-3), now fighting at Middleweight, is riding a four-fight win streak with three finishes.
